Acoustic Guitar & Vocals
Hailing from The Cove, Georgia, CJ’s journey in music started early, inspired by a family full of musicians and a natural pull toward the stage. From middle and high school band—where he played guitar, low brass, high brass, and percussion—to spending more than 20 years behind the drum kit in cover bands, music has always been second nature. Over the years, he’s shared the stage with multiple artists, building a reputation for feel, timing, and steady energy that anchors any lineup he’s part of.
In 2020, CJ shifted gears, diving into songwriting and stepping into the role of rhythm guitarist for David. Now back where the strings meet the groove, he locks in the foundation of the band’s sound while adding background vocals and occasional lead lines to the mix. With roots in The Cove and decades of stage experience behind him, CJ continues to help shape the band’s driving pulse—proving the story’s still being written, one song at a time.
Scott Clayton
Lead/Rhythm Guitar
Scott Clayton is a talented guitarist from Fort Worth, Texas, who began playing guitar after being inspired by his first concert experience—an Elvis Presley performance. His musical background is rooted in soul, R&B, and classic rock.
Scott's style is shaped by the influences of iconic musicians such as Jerry Garcia, George Benson, and Tony Rice. A unique sound that blends elements of improvisation and melody, drawing from diverse genres to create a rich, expressive guitar tone.
Scott also helps with harmony vocals as well as taking on some lead vocals.
Rich Lalla

With over 25 years behind the kit, Rich Lalla brings a deep love of rhythm and roots music to every stage. His style blends influences from every era of country music with sounds rooted in rockabilly, surf, bluegrass, western swing, swing, west coast blues, and lounge music. Add in a lifelong passion for rock from every decade, and you get a drummer with versatility, feel, and energy that drives the band night after night.
